Therese Rigdon

My work at Arte’de fakts is a personal exploration of the natural world, translated into heirloom jewelry for the free-spirited, nature-loving modern mystic. Intuition and the raw, untamed beauty around me drive my artistic vision. I embrace the “wild woman” spirit, drawing inspiration from rugged coastlines to serene forests. These sensory experiences fuel my creativity and shape the forms and textures of my jewelry. This connection to nature informs both the aesthetic and the slow craftsmanship I pour into each piece.

I hand-select each rock, crystal, and gemstone for its unique character, natural resonance, and the story it whispers. I seek stones that resonate with the earth’s energy, believing these natural treasures hold power that can be shared through adornment. Found objects — driftwood, unique stones, gifted feathers — often become the genesis of a one-of-a-kind creation. A tangible link between nature and adornment, a cherished heirloom speaking to the modern mystic.

At Arte’de fakts, I work with a variety of metals: copper, fine silver, sterling silver, brass, and 14kt gold. The interplay of these materials, and exploring the contrast between their textures and tones to create jewelry that balances rustic and refined elements drives my artistic flow. My designs range from delicate rings and necklaces for everyday wear to bold statement earrings, bracelets, and my signature cuffs. These pieces empower the wearer, reminding them of their connection to the earth and their own inner strength. Each designed to be treasured for generations – true heirloom jewelry.

I love blending traditional and innovative techniques in my creative process. Using the time-tested skills of a silversmith honed over years of practice, combining this experience with the innovative flair I developed working with metal on a larger scale. I also embrace the organic process of electroforming. Integrating it with other techniques to achieve truly unique, captivating, one-of-a-kind results. This fusion allows me to push the boundaries of my craft and explore new possibilities in metal artistry, creating pieces as unique as the individuals who wear them. This slow craftsmanship ensures each piece is made with intention and care, built to last a lifetime.

Arte’de fakts extends my personal journey and celebrates the Earth’s inherent beauty. Each piece is imbued with nature’s energy and the “wild woman” spirit, offering a collection of earthy adornments for the body and spirit. Through Arte’de fakts, I share a piece of myself and the magic found in the natural world with everyone who chooses to wear my heirloom jewelry.
